Our History ..

It was in 1994,with  the olive oils export sector having opened up to private Tunisian companies, Mr. Tahar Ben Aissa, with his deep love for olive oil, its fractions and molecules for the functional food, seized the oportinuty, invested in the human capital and built an important indistrual strucuture, a solid foundation for a totally innovative future.

At the time, Tunisian extra virgin olive oil was sold only in bulk to Italian and Spanish packaging companies, who would package it and sell it to various international markets around the world. The same applied to « lampante » oilve oils, which were sold unrefined and later refined in Italy and Spain. The olive oils valorization was done overseas.

Seeing a profitable investment opportunity for his company and for the Tunisian olive sector, Mr. Ben Aissa devoted his life to this field and decided to invest in a refining and packaging unit.

Jbel Ouest, historically called Cheylus, was choosen for the factory implimentation as a strategic location due to proximity of olive groves, the port and the capital Tunis.

Since all good deeds are rewarded, SHEYLUS GROUP is now being in the consolidation process. Sheylus by STIROA is equipped  with advanced technologies, has a qualified team and various certifications.
